We bill a month in advance. Your first bill will be prorated for the month you got installed PLUS the next full month, so it will be a bit higher than your normal bill. Don't worry, this only happens once. Your next bill will be back to normal.
If you received a promo such as 1 MONTH FREE, the promotion applies to your first full month of service. You may receive a small bill for the prorated month of your installation prior to your free month of service.
We will email your monthly bill according to the schedule below:
Installation Date Range | Bill Date | Bill Due Date |
23rd-1st | 1st | 15th |
1st-7th | 8th | 22nd |
8th-15th | 15th | 30th |
16th-22nd | 22nd | 6th |
By default, we send you an electronic bill via email at no charge. If you prefer a paper bill, we can send you one, but there is a $5 per month charge.
Devices that are hardwired to your new router will receive all the speed and bandwidth promised.
Wireless speed depends entirely on the wireless network within your home and varies based on several factors including distance from the wireless connection point to the device, age of the device, obstacles in between them, and environmental factors.
Speeds over Wi-Fi will almost always be slower than a wired connection. For example: if you are on our 1 Gig plan, you can expect to see the full 1 Gig on your wired devices and around 500-600 Mbps over Wi-Fi depending on your device's wireless capabilities.

If you have a fiber line running across your yard and into your house, we will be back within 10 business days to bury the line. Before we start digging, we'll call One Call to be sure we know where the utilities are.
Since all the work is being done outside, you won't need to be home. We'll leave a note on your door letting you know we were there.
It will take 11 business days from the time of your scheduled installation for your phone number to port over. You will need to keep your phone number active with your current service provider until the number ports over to Gateway Fiber.
If you have any questions, contact us by phone, email, or the chat feature on our website. We're happy to help.
