Gateway Fiber Hits the County Fair Circuit

Summertime means county fairs: music, rides, livestock contests, funnel cakes – all the elements that make county fairs fun! This summer, Gateway Fiber supported the fairs in Warren, Lincoln, and St. Charles counties.

Warren County

First was Warren County. As a primary supporter, we sponsored the main entertainment stage and set up our tent with fun giveaways and tons of information on our high-speed, 100% fiber-optic internet service now available in Warren County.

The fair was well attended, especially in the evenings with live music shows, and we got to meet a huge number of terrific folks. Unfortunately, severe weather canceled all of Saturday’s events, but the week was still a ton of fun.

Lincoln County

Next was Lincoln County in Troy. The weekend before the fair, Gateway Fiber joined the Troy city parade in a custom full-sized, bright red Radio Flyer, handing out beads, koozies, sunglasses, and t-shirts to the crowd along the parade route on a bright sunny Sunday afternoon.

We joined over 20 other vendors at the fair under the main shelter, which provided protection from the heat and the fierce thunderstorm that blew through on Thursday afternoon. Once the storm passed, the fair went off without a hitch. Gateway Fiber also sponsored the Gateway Gig main stage that hosted the Roots & Boots tour featuring Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw, and Collin Raye.

St. Charles County

We finished off this summer’s fair schedule as Grand Champion Sponsor of the St. Charles County Fair at Rotary Park in Wentzville. Many people dropped by the booth, excited that we are coming to St. Charles County and eagerly asking about the service.

Thank You

At all three county fairs, we met many great people eager to learn more about how Gateway Fiber’s 100% fiber-optic network can improve their communities through better internet. Thank you to all who stopped by our tent and said hi! You’re why we are here.
