Gateway Fiber Expands Service to Washington, MO

Announces New Gigabit Fiber Optic Internet Service to Franklin County

Wright City, MO — Gateway Fiber and the city of Washington, MO, have announced a new high-speed fiber-optic internet services provider coming to the area. Gateway Fiber, a rapidly expanding local fiber-optic internet provider, will fund the construction project.

“We are excited to welcome Gateway Fiber, a local company, to Washington to provide our residents and businesses with a modern internet option that will improve our community and quality of life,” said Washington mayor Doug Hagedorn. “As a commuter city near St. Louis, we recognize the importance of having a fast, reliable internet service that fuels telecommuting, education, streaming, and modern commerce.”

Missouri-based Gateway Fiber offers customers a better online experience through fiber optic internet’s higher speeds and reliability with flat-rate pricing, no data caps, no contracts, and no installation fees for residential customers. Gateway offers internet speeds from 250 Megabits per second (Mbps) up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) with symmetrical upload and download speeds on its 100 percent fiber-optic network all the way into the home or business.

“Fiber-optic internet changes everything for residents of Washington,” said Gateway Fiber CEO Heath Sellenriek.

Washington is Gateway’s first venture into Franklin County, having established its service in Lincoln, Warren, and St. Charles counties.

“Expanding to Washington allows us to continue our mission of positively impacting the communities we serve through a better internet,” Sellenriek explained. “As a local company, we focus on bringing outstanding internet to our neighbors.”

While construction of the new 100 percent fiber-optic infrastructure in Washington is scheduled to begin in late 2022, interested homeowners can sign up for services now. Residents will receive announcements by mail and door hangers before construction begins.

Gateway Fiber currently serves customers in Wentzville, Lake Saint Louis, Dardenne Prairie, Troy, Moscow Mills, Winfield, Old Monroe, Hawk Point, Warrenton, and Wright City, the location of their company headquarters.

Washington residents and business owners can visit GatewayFiber.com to learn more and sign up for services.
